About us
In 2014 we had a very close relative diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Following the treatments he underwent a definitive colostomy. The solution to this problem involves the permanent use of an ostomy bag “hanging” from the abdomen, to collect the intestinal content. In addition to the negative visual impact, lack of control, inopportune noise and odours are aggravating factors that further contribute to a decrease in the quality of life of these patients.
Therefore, we got to work and started to design a solution that could help our family member and many others with the same situation: a medical device for colostomized patients.
With the idealized medical device, we joined several entrepreneurship contests where we collected several prizes – first place at GovTech 2019 and the submission of the international patent for the project were the highest points of this project. In early 2020, we licensed the project, which, at the moment, is in the final certification phase, awaiting entry into the market shortly.
Thus, Triple Idea was born, in early 2020: Triple because we are 3 founders (with family ties that unite and bring us together) and Idea because it is part of our DNA to think and develop solutions that can make a difference in people's lives.
